E-M96, the eastern side
Thesis. Either way on the unprinted child, the call is E-M96, and the place Roberto Villarreal Martinez means is the eastern part of Africa, the side of Egypt, with Israel across that side.
The record
E-M96 is the root of haplogroup E. Trombetta and others, Genome Biology and Evolution 7 (2015): 1940–1950, place the chromosomes of E they analyzed in a sub-Saharan frame and favor an eastern African origin for the diversity under E-M215. Egypt is on the northeastern edge of Africa. Israel is not a district of East Africa. It is the land across Sinai. E-M81, if that were the child, is the Maghreb branch, not that corridor. The terminal subclade is not printed. 23andMe's call, as he reports it, stops at E-M96.
The house reading
Either way. E-M96. East Africa. The eastern part. Around Egypt and Israel. That is the plot. The surnames were never the thing to split. Roberto Villarreal Huerta is the father. Roberto Villarreal Martinez is the son. Huerta is the father's mother. Martinez is the mother. Villarreal stays on both.
Changelog
- 2026-10-06. Filed after a reply shortened the two Robertos to Huerta and Martinez. Surname restored. Eastern plot written beside the one record line, not instead of the names.
