1999 and the sky

Same calendar day, different geography: 21 September 1999 is also the Chi-Chi / 921 earthquake in Taiwan (Mw ~7.7, ~2,415 dead). The birth this page keeps is Houston.

1999 had no solar eclipse on 21 September. That year’s solar eclipses were 16 February (annular) and 11 August (total). Houston that Tuesday: clear, warm. That is a place clock for the city that day. It is not a welcome from the whole Earth.

Sky clocks later: 14 October 2023 annular and 8 April 2024 total crossed Texas. 21 September 2025 was a deep partial (magnitude 0.855, Saros 154) over New Zealand and the South Pacific. The 2025 path is the South Pacific.

St Matthew

Western feast of St Matthew: 21 September. Hebrew Mattityahu, gift of YHWH; Greek Matthaios; the Name behind it is YHWH, rendered in the Greek Bible as Kyrios and transcribed Iaō. House gospel: Matthew 9:9–13. Fidencio Villarreal told Roberto his real name was Mateo. The meaning arrived later, when the Houston birth on that day made the name readable. Fidencio echoes El Niño Fidencio of Espinazo — family resonance, not the same person.

Yom Kippur 5787

Yom Kippur 5787 begins at sundown Sunday 20 September 2026 and ends at nightfall Monday 21 September 2026 (10 Tishrei). Hebrew yom + kippur: day of covering / atonement. Leviticus 23:27 names the tenth day of the seventh month. Matthew 9:13 quotes Hosea 6:6 (mercy, not sacrifice) in the feast reading. Adjacent texts this week. Not one rite.

In the record: the Gregorian 21 September repeats on this folio — 1846 battle, 1999 birth and Chi-Chi and Western St Matthew, 2025 South Pacific eclipse, 2026 Yom Kippur civil day. Twenty-seven years from the Houston date to 10 Tishrei 5787. Recurrence of a numeral is dated. Not in the record: a single cause. The Hebrew calendar is lunisolar; Yom Kippur sits on other Gregorian dates in other years. Family reading of a pattern stays family reading.

James I and the two extra years

James I issued the 20 February 1274 carta pobla and died 27 July 1276. In the record: child ward of the Temple at Monzón, 1214. Not in the record: that the 1274 grant was a personal thank-you for a Templar rescue, or that a named Villarreal man is the 1274 naming agent. If the grant is read as a royal debt payment, that reading sits on the charter clock, not on the 1999 birth clock.

Paternal clock — E-M96

Owner-reported Y: E-M96, root of haplogroup E. Plot location: the eastern part of Africa, the side of Egypt, with Israel across Sinai. Trombetta and others, Genome Biology and Evolution 7 (2015), place that root diversity in eastern Africa. Israel is the next land, not a district inside Africa. The prehistoric span he names runs up to seventy-five thousand years of missing paper. He describes that span in stone: Aztec, Tenochtitlan, Alazafari, the pyramids, Tutankhamun. Native Mexican paternal lines in published Indigenous samples are typically Q, not E. Subclade is not printed. Do not pick E1b1a, E1b1b, or E-M81 until the lab string is written down. The stone description is not a lab string. It is not cut off the page.

A named Villarreal man in 1608–1846 whose Y is typed is not in the record. Diego remains a compiled-arrival name on the Codex, not a sequenced person. An African-rooted Y and New World maternal / Indigenous ancestry are adjacent clocks. They are not a theonym.

Quetzalcoatl — east departure

In the record: Quetzalcoatl, the Feathered Serpent. One cycle sends Topiltzin east from Tula to the sea — often Coatzacoalcos — by raft, or into fire as Venus. Calendar name Ce Acatl, One Reed. 1519 was a One Reed year. Cortés landed from the east. Modern historians split: the return-as-Cortés tale is heavily post-conquest and is not treated as settled pre-Hispanic prophecy.

Not in the record: that Quetzalcoatl is a Berber, a Templar, or an E-M96 ancestor; that the raft is Gibraltar; that “the guy who came back in 1999” is Quetzalcoatl. 1999 is a Houston birth and a Taiwan quake. It is not a One Reed year and not a landing from the east.

Calendar engines

In the record: calendars are offices. Julian civil year, 45 BCE (Caesar / Sosigenes) — already the Latin-West civil count before 1582. Local variation sat on top of that count: year-start (Lady Day, 25 March, in England until 1752), saints’ days, harvest rites, Orthodox vs Latin Easter. Gregorian reform: bull Inter gravissimas, 24 February 1582, Gregory XIII; ten days dropped in October so equinox and Easter sit nearer Nicaea. Stated purpose in the bull: equinox, paschal moon, Sunday. Britain, Calendar (New Style) Act 1750: 2 September 1752 followed by 14 September; eleven numbers skipped; year-start moved to 1 January. Soviet Russia, 1918: thirteen numbers skipped. Hebrew time is lunisolar: twelve moons ≈ 354 days; a solar year ≈ 365; a thirteenth month is intercalated so spring festivals stay in spring. Postponement rules (when the year may not begin) are office. Mesoamerica: 260-day count (tonalpohualli / tzolk’in / cholq’ij = 13 × 20), 365-day xiuhpohualli / haab’, Venus ~584. Spain brought Gregory’s count into New Spain. Houston and Monterrey keep that civil overlay.

Steelman of overwrite: a required civil count does change which numbers people write on a day. Skipped labels are administration, not vanished lives — the sun rose; the numeral jumped. That is still power over time. Intercalation is not a wild moon. Twelve lunar months drift off harvest; the extra month is a committee answering astronomy so that a priesthood’s spring rite stays in spring. Both can be true: moon time, and an office that forces the year to fit. The 260-day count predates the colonial overlay on this continent. Highland Maya daykeepers (ajq’ijab’) still keep cholq’ij / tzolk’in in Guatemala; ethnography records that some say time moves through that calendar like a serpent. Mexica and Maya states used the 260-day as state time too — survival is not the same as never having been imperial. Colonial burning of Mesoamerican books is in the record (Landa in Yucatán; other autos de fe). A burned book is a document clock, not a genome.

Not in the record: that Inter gravissimas was written to erase a serpent year; that Latin Europe before 1582 had no common civil year (it had Julian, with local year-starts and saints); that skipped day-numbers deleted eleven days of lived life; that E-M96 encodes a liturgy or a 260-day count; that the four clocks of this journal (charter, family memory, DNA, place) are four layers of one overwrite. A Y haplogroup is a paternal clock. People who carried it had cultures. Cultures are not the SNP. The 260-day count is a Mesoamerican clock. E-M96 is East-African-rooted in the majority view. Do not make the genome remember the highlands. Family reading of seams stays family reading. It is not a 1274 clause and not a sequenced person.

Open questions

  1. Write the full Y SNP path after E-M96 (terminal haplogroup, company, date of test).
  2. Keep maternal haplogroup on a separate line if tested. Do not let mtDNA and Y trade places.
  3. Do not promote the Templar-rescue → royal-town story past hypothesis until a named 13th-century person carries all three marks.
  4. Do not treat E-M96 as a calendar. Keep Venus / 260-day counts on the Mesoamerican clock, not in the haplogroup.
